There are three things I tried before I managed to lose post pregnancy weight. In the end the best diet that worked for me, to lose after pregnancy weight was carb rotation diet. But let me tell you other ways I managed to lose few pounds here and there.

The first one was that I reduced junk snacking intake and replaced it with healthy snacking. I did lose some weight, but it was not enough. I also incorporated some light exercise and that helped me firm up my body a little more.

Than I started some free diets I could find. The first one was total starving diet and I did managed to lose weight and gained it all back faster with the extra few pounds. I was so mad! One thing I did not know at the time is that when you starve, you actually slow down your metabolism and when you go back to eating regularly you actually gain more pounds because of your metabolism is still in slow burning calorie motion.

The second diet was not completely starving diet except for every 4th day. It was a diet called UN diet, (I know funny name) but basically you separate the food you eat. With that diet I stuck to it for 27 days but on the 28th all you can do is drink and not eat. I had a killer headache and I stopped. After a lot of hard work and losing around 15 pounds, I gained it again all back. Uh....

So in the end, the one that did work was carb rotation diet. This was the diet without starving and diet that thought me a lot about nutrition and the food to eat that actually burns more calories. The problem often is that if we want to lose the weight we go for low fat food, but not all fat food is really low fat. With carb rotation diet, I learned a lot more about the food I need to avoid. And with this diet, I managed to lose after pregnancy weight.

Finding the best diet after the pregnancy is not easy, I personally tried few, until I found the one that worked for me!

One of the amazing things that happened to me after I started to eat a raw food diet to cure my breast cancer, years ago, is that I found I didn't need to drink as much water. When you start eating foods that are raw you'll find you're just not as thirsty as before. You just don't need as much water as you used to. There are quite a few reasons for this. Overall, raw foods, such as raw fruits and vegetables, have a much higher volume of water in them, so your body doesn't need as much from beverages and other foods. Cooked foods don't contain much water as a rule.

But if you're overweight constantly, are thirsty and hungry and have other symptoms of Type II Diabetes, this overwhelming thirst and hunger are just two diabetes symptoms that plague many. When you start eating more raw foods, which are foods that have a high fiber and moisture content, you may start to lose weight fast and you will start to reverse the diabetes symptoms rapidly and help keep your blood sugar in the normal range.

Even if you're not overweight and don't have any health issues such as Type II diabetes, you still will find you no longer have the hunger and thirst problems you used to have. If you're eating a raw food diet, drinking water and juices it's not very likely you're drinking coffee or getting any caffeine from colas. Caffeine is a diuretic and depletes vital water from your body increasing thirst. And by eating less cooked foods or less processed foods, you'll be getting less sodium and you'll find you're just not as thirsty either.

By eating living food, drinking pure filtered water, green juice and carrot juice, you'll be providing you body with plenty of vital nutrients and water. And by keeping the sodium amounts to a minimum you'll start to feel less thirsty too.

Make sure to continue drinking water every day as you feel the need and then add more. Make sure to drink plenty during physical activities when your requirements are sure to go up. Most of us stay so busy with family and work that we don't have the time or the motivation to pack a bag and drive to the gym. Well the good news is that to get into great shape you don't have to be. Allow yourself a minute to read and learn about how you can achieve amazing cardiovascular fitness by going no further than moving your car out of the garage and engaging in these cardio routines.

1. Military Style Jumping Jacks: That's right, I said jumping jacks! Now you may think you know how to do jumping jacks, but the only way I know is military style. The difference in this style of jumping jacks and everyone else's style is the count. To begin this great cardio blasting drill stand straight with your feet together and your hands by your side. From here jump to spread your feet wider than shoulder width while simultaneously raising your arms overhead. Immediately return to the original position to start all over again for the next one. The key here though is that with the military style jumping jack you do at least 3 in a row before that can count as a single rep! My challenge to you to gain superior cardiovascular conditioning is to knock off 100 of these bad boys without stopping!

2. Jump Rope: The jumping rope cardio workout is another fabulous way to get a great workout and to develop hand/eye coordination at the same time. Its all about keeping the right pace. Feel free to include the jump rope into your cardio program along with the jumping jacks. The beauty is that both of these drills can be done independently, used as interval bouts, or can be involved in a total conditioning circuit! My challenge for you with the rope is to jump for 3 minutes nonstop, rest for a minute and do another 3 minutes! Be strict with your rest time and complete 3 rounds of 3 minute jumping intervals. If you want superior cardiovascular conditioning and to promote some serious weight-loss then these 2 drills are just for you!
