Review of Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training
First let's take a look at the gentleman behind the workout. Craig Ballantyne's name has been mentioned numerous times in many fitness magazines such as Men's Fitness and Men's Health and even women magazines like Oxygen and Shape.. So as you can see, this guide has been created by a well know and trusted fitness specialist.
After speaking with Craig regarding his training and education background, and I'll be honest, it was impressive, unlike the trainers with two day certification that are at larger commercial gyms. Craig's experience goes back to the mid-nineties, in both the fitness center and in the research lab.
He's actually led clinical trials on sport supplements, strength training, and cardiovascular training.
Craig is also a strength coach and has worked with hundreds of clients in thousands of training sessions. With this exceptional and comprehensive background, it is no suprise that Craig has produces this pioneering training program for fat loss.
In fact, Craig's articles are always pretty hard on conventional aerobic cardio workouts. So if you're looking for innovative ways to spend 30 or 60-minutes doing cardio, then this program is not for you. But if you only have 45 minutes to workout, a couple of times per week, and you have access to only a bench, dumbbells, and an exercise ball, then you'll like what Craig has for you here.
Now one of the principal questions about the program is simply "What is Turbulence Training?" Well according to Craig, its the combination of resistance training and interval training used to increase your metabolism so that your body burns calories and fat between workouts. Craig knows that cardio alone doesn't boost your metabolism after exercise. It is strength and interval training that makes your body work while you work, eat and sleep.
What is remarkable is that this system can be done with nominal equipment using mostly body weight and some dumbells. If you are a tad stronger, a pull up bar might be helpful.
I've used the program and the reason I recommend it to so many others is because no one has time for 2 hour workouts! That's why after an eight or ten hour workday, a round-trip commute of 90 minutes, and spending time with my family, I just don't have time to do another 90 minute workout every day of the week.
In fact, I either get up early and do the workout before work, or I do it just before bed. This routine is absolutely perfect for busy men or women and especially moms and dads. What is also excellent, is that this routine will in no way turn you into a professional bodybuilder. This system is ideal for burning excess body fat without sacrificing muscle. So you'll end up lean, defined and toned.
I can also recommend this guide to anyone because Craig has broken it down into levels. There is a 6 week beginner program, a 4 week intermediate and a 16 week advanced training guide. Plus it includes loads of extra workout for specific targeting.

The Turbulence Training diet and fitness program by Craig Ballantyne is a renowned diet and fitness program. It has been used by many people of different ages. But what kind of results does this program really deliver? Is Turbulence Training a scam or does it work?
Before we answer that question we need to know what Turbulence Training is all about. This is a program which is mainly based on fitness. It entails doing high intensity but short workouts at the gym or at home which are meant to provide maximum rate of calorie burn in the shortest time possible. In this way, this program can be done by people with busy lifestyle.
TurbulenceTraining is very powerful in the fitness section. It provides detailed exercises which can provide you with very short but fulfilling workouts. In this sense it's one of the best. It's a little weak on the diet section, but one of the bonuses of the program is a diet handbook which covers the gap quite nicely.
In my view Turbulence Training is no scam, and it does work for many people, but you need to work to make it work. What I mean by that is that the program teaches you a lot, but you need to make the time to apply what you learn. If you do, then you will see a decrease in weight and fat and an increase in lean muscle tissue.
So, only use it if you're ready to make an effort. But if you are, this is a great program.
